Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (GRAW) was released for the Xbox 360 in North America and Europe last week, and has since sold in excess or 240,000 copies in North America and 120,000 in Europe. Surprisingly, considering some of Ubisoft’s prior big releases, GRAW had taken the first week sales performance record.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter had the best ever first-week sales performance for our company and is looking like a major commercial success,” commented Ubisoft Chairman Yves Guillemot.

A substantially different Xbox version of the game is released in Europe today, with a PlayStation 2 version arriving on March 31. A PC version, different to the console versions, is set to arrive in May 2006.
