JoWooD has today confirmed that development of Gothic 4 will not be handled by Piranha Bytes, the studio responsible for Gothic 3, after terms failed to be agreed with parent company Pluto 13.

The new game in the RPG series is coming to PC and the new generation of video game consoles, although at this time JoWooD has not revealed which developer will be at the helm. Various development studios are said to be in the frame.
