Gordon Freeman is to make a cameo appearance in the Steam version of Renegade Ops, it has been revealed.
While it’s not exactly the announcement that Half-Life fans have been waiting for, the October 14 release of Renegade Ops will provide an opportunity to play as ol’ beardy-chops. Freeman drives the buggy from Half-Life 2, and has a special attack that sees him unleashing a pack of savage ant-lions.
Though it has been well-received elsewhere, I wasn’t too blown away with Avalanche Studios’ old-school, twin-stick shooter. I settled on a score of 6 in my Renegade Ops review.
The Steam version of the game will cost £9.99. The game is already out on PSN for the same price; the Xbox LIVE Arcade version costs 1200 MS points.
