Call of Duty: Elite, Activision’s stat tracking and community service, is suffering from stability problems due to overwhelming demand. Activision has told Kotaku that it has faced a huge challenge but that it’s making progress on fixing the problems.
“We are being challenged by a response beyond any of our expectations on day one,” said Activision Digital vice president Jamie Berger. “But we’re making good headway.”
“This is like that terrible birthing pains any new online service goes through,” added Berger.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 had the largest day one shipment ever.
