A bizarre pixelart RPG is out now for the Switch, and I can only describe it as Stardew Valley, but if Stardew Valley was all about golf. Golf Story is ‘the story of a golfer, forced to give up all that he holds dear for one final shot and accomplishing his dream.
Golf Story boasts ‘a dramatic story’ and ‘8 unique environments’. The trailer itself is a trip and a half, featuring golf carts, microwaving a pie, and wellying a beach ball at a crab. At one point it some moles mow the green. At another, an old woman yells that there’s been a murder.
Featuring all these things, plus the option to play actual golf, Golf Story is definitely a thing. I’m just not sure what exactly. But I’m into it.
