While it may be hard to believe, over a thousand World of Warcraft users have been banned for “gold farming.” This, as the name suggests, is where users collect vast amounts of gold and then sell it to other players. Doesn’t sound that strange, does it? Well, the strange part is that these farmers sell the gold for real world cash, not in-game currency. This is something that Blizzard don’t want to see in their game and is the reason for issuing bans.
If you have a suspicion that someone may be gold farming or partaking in any other rule breaking activities you can report it to .
