The director behind PlayStation 4-exclusive dad-'em-up God of War has posted an emotional video of himself reacting to the game's high review scores. In case you missed it, God of War has done pretty well with critics, including VideoGamer, and at the time of writing has reached a whopping 95 on Metacritic.

The video below shows Cory Barlog scanning through some of the game's scores before clapping eyes on the review aggregate website, which at the time of recording the video stood at 94. Needless to say he got a little teary at the overwhelmingly positive scores, clearly chuffed after having worked on God of War for the best part of five years.

'It is OK to cry. There is nothing to hide. I thought I would try to set a good example and show him that papa can cry in front of the world,' Barlog said of his son. He also took the time to praise the team he worked with on the Norse mythology-inspired action-adventure game, and declared he's just relieved he 'didn't f**k it up.'

God of War is out worldwide today for PS4.
