Sony Santa Monica Studio’s epic anger-fuelled daddy adventure God of War is just around the corner, with the studio now confirming the unlock time for PlayStation Store digital pre-orders.
Of course, merely announcing a time and date of 12.00am EDT on April 20 would be pretty boring, so the developer has also thrown in a bunch of viscerally-charged gamplay footage running on PlayStation 4 Pro to whet your appetite. It’s only 30 seconds long, but hey, Kratos can crack a lot of heads in that time.
God of War is pencilled in for release on PlayStation 4 on April 20. The game’s director, Cory Barlog, has heavily indicated that future titles in the blood-spilling series will likely stick with the Norse mythology setting, with Atreus also tagging along for the ride.
