The next PlayStation port on PC, God of War Ragnarök is almost available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. With the game’s release time just hours away, God of War Ragnarök PC players shouldn’t ignore the game’s free DLC.

God of War Ragnarök free DLC

As a new port of the PS4 and PS5 exclusive, the God of War Ragnarök PC includes all previous updates to the game. This means the game also includes the Valhalla DLC, an awesome addition to the cinematic hack-and-slash game.

Available for free to everyone who buys the PC port, the Valhalla DLC is a roguelike mode that pushes players to truly master Kratos’ moveset.

Set in a gorgeous new location, with only Mimir as a companion, the free DLC is a love letter to the franchise. While it doesn’t include the same cinematic gravitas as the base game, it’s a stunning experience for those who finish the story, and it’s very replayable.

A perfect bookend

For fans of God of War who have played through the series since its origin, Valhalla is a perfect follow-up to Ragnarok’s main story. While there’s likely still more Kratos to come, the brutal warrior’s final chapter is an amazing addition.

With a host of new players coming to the game with the new God of War Ragnarök PC port, Valhalla’s addition on launch is fantastic. While PlayStation players had to wait months for the brilliant DLC, every PC player will be able to try it from the off.

Developer Sony Santa Monica may be working on a brand-new God of War game for PlayStation 5. Following a tease from a PlayStation representative, the studio is hard at work on a new game for the console, but it’ll also likely come to PC in the future as well.
