God of War creator Sony Santa Monica Studio has posted a job ad for a concept artist to help come up with designs for new gods and creatures for an unnamed project. So, a new God of War then?

The job description confirms that the successful applicant will help create ‘high quality characters, gods, creatures, and props,' which sounds a hell of a lot like a new God of War game to us. Or perhaps some DLC for this year's acclaimed daddy-'em-up? Who knows.

Sony would be bloomin' silly not to give the green light to a God of War sequel after the success of the soft reboot, so we imagine it's only a matter of time before Kratos starts losing his rag again.

If you haven't played God of War yet, then you're missing out on one of the best games of recent years. I'm about halfway through and am bloody loving it; I think there's definitely room for more stories between the Spartan warrior and his pint-sized companion.

God of War was released exclusively for PlayStation 4 in March, and sold over five million copies in its first month alone.

Don't get your hopes up for a God of War Netflix show just yet, though.
