God of War: Ascension has been confirmed by Amazon after the retailer leaked information ahead of Sony’s big announcement.
The online store named the game we’d all been calling God of War 4, revealed the box art and posted a short teaser trailer – the trailer’s narrator suggests the game will be a prequel, stating “there was a time before Kratos became the monster known as the Ghost of Sparta”.
“Join Kratos as he seeks freedom, redemption, and the clarity to avenge his family in the most ambitious God of War adventure in the series so far,” read Amazon’s product description before the listing was removed.
No release date has been announced.
