Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse has now revealed the release date for their next update, entitled “A Parade of Providence.” will be bringing the first ‘Akademiya Extravaganza’ to Sumeru as well as a new explorable desert area. Two new playable characters will also be added during the patch, making this an especially exciting event for players of the open world adventure.
The ‘Akademiya Extravaganza’ will naturally be the main talking point of the update since it’s set to introduce several enjoyable features to the game. But in order to give you a better idea of what you can expect once it arrives, we’ll be taking a look at all the features included below so you can be prepared ahead of its launch.
Genshin Impact update 3.6 release date
The Genshin Impact update 3.6 will be released on April 12 and it will include numerous feature additions that should entertain the game’s loyal player base. Aside from the ‘Akademiya Extravaganza’ festival, there will also be a new desert-themed area added as well as two new characters named Baizhu and Kaveh.
The aforementioned celebratory event will apparently be hosted by the Sumeru Akademiya and will greet players with two main events: the Wisdom Gala and the Interdarshan Championship. Once the gala becomes available, six booths will apparently be set up with each one offering its own unique mini-game that players can participate in.
As for the new, as yet unnamed desert area, its environment will consist of wastelands and an oasis deep within its heart. This location was apparently ravaged by Gray Crystals and corruptive Purple Mists, which led to most of its decimation. With this in mind, you may need to bring the best food for healing your characters so you won’t die while exploring it.
Genshin Impact update 3.6 new characters
The two new playable characters being added have been described as being experts in their own respective fields. Baizhu, a five-star Catalyst wielder, has the ability to generate wandering sprites and a Seamless Shield to help the team. On the other hand, Kaveh, a four-star Dendro Claymore wielder, is a talented architect whose toolbox can “trigger all Dendro cores and cause them to burst by scanning the field.”
Before both of these characters are released, we recommend stocking up on Primogems so you can get them immediately. We also suggest gathering more Crowns of Insight so you can increase their talent immediately as soon as you bring them into your team.
