The Gears of War movie has been a bit of a non-starter, and with studio New Line Cinema putting most of its efforts into The Hobbit trilogy, Creative Artists Agency is looking to find a new studio, according to a report on Variety.
Gears of War was at one point due to be directed by recent Total Recall helmer Len Wiseman, but things are all change. Creative Artists Agency will be using a script penned by Stuart Beattie (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) when pitching to new studios.
Gears of War’s fourth game, Judgment, is due for release exclusively on Xbox 360 on March 19, 2013.
