Gears 5 will make up for its shaky launch with XP boost and extra Scrap

The Coalition has announced that Gears 5 Ultimate Edition players will be compensated for the problematic early access launch, with five days of XP boost and 600 Scrap.

Over the weekend, Gears 5 was plagued with significant server issues. All multiplayer modes were afflicted with extended matchmaking times and continual disconnection, kicking players and affecting displays. It even caused problems with the single-player Campaign, so those who had waited so long for the highly-anticipated installment, well, waited longer than planned.
