Ganondorf is one of three newly-announced playable characters for Hyrule Warriors, coming to Wii U on September 19.

The Legend of Zelda series main bad guy was revealed during a Nintendo Direct broadcast this morning alongside Zant from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Ghirahim from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Hosted by Yosuke Hayashi of Koei Tecmo Games, the Hyrule Warriors Direct also revealed how players can progress through Legend Mode.

Also detailed was Adventure Mode, which promises a nostalgic twist on the original Legend of Zelda game by taking players through a recreated version of its overworld map, each block on the grid representing one stage with its own unique victory conditions.

And that’s not all. At the game’s launch a Limited Edition software bundle will also be available featuring a Hyrule Warriors scarf alongside a physical copy of the game. The scarf is blue and orange-coloured and features the symbol of the Triforce emblazoned across its front.

Furthermore, register your copy of Hyrule Warriors with Club Nintendo by October 17, 2014 and you’ll receive a free download code for a Ganondorf Legacy Costume Set.
