It’s Gamescom 2014 week and this year the major players are doing their very best to hype up what they have to announce.
As ever it looks like the conferences and live events are where most of the juicy stuff will emerge, kicking off with Microsoft’s Xbox Press Conference at lunchtime on Tuesday. The action begins at 1pm BST and you can watch live via Twitch or right here on VideoGamer.
Look out for an extended look at Quantum Break, plus more on Halo: The Master Chief Collection and maybe a few more announcements.
Sony’s next in line with its PlayStation Conference set for 6pm BST the same day. Sony says it will use the conference to “showcase the huge variety of games coming to PlayStation platforms later this year and into 2015. Expect new game announcements alongside updates on some of the blockbuster titles you’ll be playing this winter.”
The event will be viewable live on Twitch or right here on VG.
EA is set to drop its Gamescom load at 9am on Wednesday morning, which is a little early we know. If you are awake (we’re talking to you students out there) then you can watch live over on EA.com. Expect more on FIFA 15, Battlefield Hardline, The Sims 4, Dragon Age Inquisition, Dawngate and the reveal of BioWare’s new game.
Outside of the major conferences, Activision has a Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare event set for 6pm BST this evening. You can watch the multiplayer reveal here on VideoGamer.
Then there’s Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain live event and Q&A with Hideo Kojima. You can watch it all live on Twitch from 7pm BST on Wednesday.
As you’ve come to expect, we’ll be hosting live chats for all the conferences, details of which you will find closer to the time.
