Gamers’ Voice, an independent pressure group representing video and computer gamers in the UK, is to report Activision to the Office of Fair Trading over a “never ending list of problems with the PC and PS3 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops”.

According to the group’s website, the complaint will be submitted to the relevant government agencies this week. The group claims that “entire sections of the PS3 and PC gaming community are apparently being used as game testers for an extended period after a game’s release, yet being asked to pay for the privilege”.

The results of the OFT’s investigation, should one take place, will be very interesting indeed. In these days of online connected consoles, patches are part and parcel with gaming, but the situation with Black Ops on PS3 and PC seems to be well beyond the norm.
