The launch of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, the third expansion in the hugely successful fantasy MMO, will take place at Sound in Leicester Square.
Fans can head to the club – taken over by GAME for the night – on December 6, where activities will begin at 7pm. Doors will open at 10pm and once you’ve got your hands on the expansion it will be possible to have it signed by Greg Street, lead systems designer and Dave Kosak, game designer.
In addition, attendees will have the chance to participate in organised activities, with a range of prizes up for grabs.
All European launch events will also feature a costume contest showcasing players’ favourite attire from the game with great prizes for the winners. All selected participants will also be given priority to enter their local event. Look out for more details on Blizzard.com.
Blizzard launches usually have a strong turn out and we’re sure this year’s will be no different. If you fancy meeting some like-minded gamers then it’s also the perfect chance to dress up and meet a few people who you’ve previously only known by their in-game avatars.
