GAME has signed an exclusive deal with Sony Europe to sell downloadable games, add-ons and PlayStation Plus subscriptions in-store across all 620 of its UK stores.

This morning, the retailer announced that it will begin selling PSN content across 42 of its GAME and Gamestation branches, before expanding the service to all of its 620 stores by mid- September.

At launch, the service will largely comprise of Sony's first party titles, before eventually expanding to third-party games. Games currently highlighted to be appearing on the service include the likes of MAG, God of War Collection and WipEout Fury.

The service will also allow gamers to download a variety of game add-ons, with the likes of the Killzone 3 Steel Rain Map Pack and Uncharted 2 Siege Expansion pack rumoured to be making their way to the service.

According to Sony, pricing will depend entirely on the game. "Every product is individually displayed and marketed with a specific price point," a GAME representative told Eurogamer.

GAME has confirmed that all purchased games will be made available for download via a 12-digit code, which will be sent by email, SMS or printed on a receipt.

"We are excited by the partnership with GAME Group" said Robert Fisser, VP of Sales and Commercial Development," before adding that the service would bring the "fantastic content available on PlayStation Network to a new audience of over 3.5m customers each week".

GAME added that the deal would see the company become "Europe's biggest retailer of digital games" and that PSN content will "eventually be extended to Europe".
