GAME is planning a “huge event” to mark the launch of Xbox One at its Boxpark Xbox store.

The retailer teased information about the launch event on Twitter this afternoon while responding to a fan asking which stores will be hosting a midnight launch for the console.

“No idea except ours,” replied the store. “We aren’t just doing a launch, we are doing a huge event and it will include most of @Boxpark too!!”

With GAME’s Oxford Street store still closed following last year’s administration struggles, it may fall to the retailer’s Boxpark store to lead the launch of Microsoft’s next-gen console.

The Xbox-only store, situated in Shoreditch’s Boxpark retail park, was opened last month.

Xbox One is set to launch this November. Microsoft has yet to announce its official launch partner.
