GAME has announced it will open 258 GAME and 170 gamestation stores across the UK on midnight on September 20 for the launch of Gears of War 3.
The stores will open as soon as the game goes on general sale, giving fans the chance to start playing in the early hours.
GAME’s flagship Oxford Street store will host the official UK launch, where Gears of War veteran: Carlos Ferro (voice of Dom Santiago) will be meeting and greeting fans.
Limited edition Gears of War 3 posters signed by the game’s developers, Gears of War t-shirts, and other Gears of War memorabilia will also be given to fans on a first come first served basis.
Customers will also have the chance to win one of five Samsung 40″ D5520 Smart LED TVs that will be given away on the night.
Neil Ashurst, head of UK PR at GAME said: “With over 400 stores opening at midnight to celebrate the launch of Gears of Wars 3, we’re ‘gearing’ up for what is set to be one of our most explosive nights of gaming yet. Gears of Wars has proven to be a blockbuster series for fans and we’re excited to be giving them the earliest chance to pick up a copy.”
Last month Epic and Microsoft announced the Gears of War 3 Season Pass, offering a 33 per cent discount on DLC.
Gears of War 3 launches in the UK on September 20 in three editions: Standard (£49.99), Limited (£59.99) and Epic (£99.99). A limited edition Gears of War 3 console will also be available priced £269.99.
