The new expansion brings with it a wealth of new features and options designed to further enhance the strategic depth of the game. A new single-player campaign will see the elimination of two of the game’s alien races, but also the introduction of several others. Players will also be able to create their own enemy types, customising their behaviour, look, and ship designs.

Also part of the expansion is the introduction of resource-rich asteroid belts, unique planets that require advanced technology to colonize, spies to assist or prevent destabilisation and sabotage, an Epic Generator that creates a unique story from each game played, advanced diplomatic treaties, new ship components, improved AI options, and plenty more.

Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar will be released digitally via TotalGaming.net in the autumn.
