The two Austin-based companies have teamed up to release Mushroom Men in spring 2008. The game places gamers in a world from the perspective of a three-inch high Mushroom Man as a war rages between the spore factions.
As a brave Mushroom Man players can use common household items as weapons and tools. You’ll have to fight across more than ten levels with a mix of hack-‘n’-slash and more controlled strategic gameplay.
“Mushroom Men’s amazing art and one-of-kind design show what a studio can produce when not hindered by a sequel or a lame license,” said Mike Wilson, CEO and Head of Marketing for Gamecock Media Group. “The mushroom world is really like nothing I could ever have imagined, and we are fortunate to be working with Red Fly in bringing this game out. There’s been years of work put into this game concept and it is easily going to be one of the most original titles around.“
Mushroom Men is scheduled for release in spring 2008 for a handheld and next-gen console platform.
