A small team at From Software has a version of Dark Souls 3 running with satisfactory performance on Nintendo Switch hardware, a source has told Let’s Play Video Games.
Furthermore, internal discussions are said to have taken place concerning the viability of releasing the Dark Souls Trilogy on Switch, complete with all DLC.
The source indicates that From Software will wait to assess initial sales of the Switch before making a decision on the ports. Should sales impress From Software, the plan will be to launch the Switch edition of Dark Souls 3 at the same time as a new ‘Game of the Year’ style bundle on all platforms.
The report follows news that the Switch dock will enable the system to output 1080p visuals.
