The PC release of From Dust, the terraforming god game from Ubisoft and Eric Chahi, has been delayed until next month.

“From Dust will hit Xbox LIVE Arcade this Wednesday and will release on PC on Wednesday, August 17,” Ubisoft told Joystiq.

From Dust casts players as The Breath – a mysterious god-like entity that must save a tribe of mask-wearing humans from the overwhelming forces of nature. The game finds you re-routing lava flows and halting tidal waves, sculpting and morphing the world as you see fit.

Xbox 360 owners will be able to download the game from tomorrow as part of Microsoft’s Summer of Arcade. There’s no word yet on when the PS3 version will be available.

Our From Dust review will go up this afternoon, so check back then to see what Jamin thinks.
