Jason Voorhees, the horror icon from movie franchise Friday the 13th, is to appear as a DLC character in Mortal Kombat X, Warner Bros. has announced.
One of the horror genre’s most prolific killers will be included in the Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack alongside three other characters still in development, including two classic MK characters and one special guest. It’s not clear how the rumoured Predator and Colonel Al Dillon characters fit into the DLC plan, or whether they’ll release in a separate pack.
In the UK the Kombat Pack is included in the Mortal Kombat X Premium Edition, and will be available for purchase separately for £24.99. Some of the content will be available starting at launch.
Those who purchase the Kombat Pack will also receive the Samurai Pack containing three new character skins: Ronin Kenshi, Samurai Shinnok and Jingu Kitana, as well as an accompanying skin pack with each playable character.
Mortal Kombat X launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on April 14, with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions to follow later this summer. You can pre-order Mortal Kombat X at Amazon.co.uk.
