Tekken Revolution, a free-to-play version of Namco Bandai’s hit fighter, will release exclusively for PlayStation 3 via PlayStation Network next Tuesday, June 11, it’s been revealed.

The game and release date were revealed in a pre-E3 video over at GameSpot, with series producer Katsuhiro Harada adding on Twitter that the game will be the “the 1st Free to play Fighting Game title on a console”.

Additional details on Tekken Revolution, including the content featured in the base game, information on micro-transactions, and how the game differs to previous Tekken titles have yet to be revealed.

Tekken Revolution is the second free-to-play PS3 title to be announced by Namco, joining Ridge Racer Driftopia, a free-to-play spin-off of Ridge Racer Unbounded due for release on the console later this year.

A free-to-play version of Dead or Alive 5 is also due for release on PS3 this September.
