Medal of Honor will be the biggest game in the franchise’s history, EA has said.

“Overall, we’re set for the strongest launch in the history of the Medal of Honor brand,” EA UK’s marketing director Stuart Lang told MCV.

“Pre-orders already outstrip week one sales for any Medal of Honor game. So we know that this Medal of Honor will eclipse every title in the series to date – including the award-winning Frontline and Allied Assault.”

Lang added: “If you take a look at any retailer charts you’ll see Medal of Honor is riding high. We’re confident we have a hit on our hands. If you’re an FPS fan you need to experience Medal of Honor in 2010.”

Medal of Honor launches in the UK tomorrow for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. We awarded the game a solid 7/10.

Medal of Honor looks certain to chart at No.1, but lower than hoped review scores could lead to a slightly weaker debut than the publisher is targeting. The Call of Duty factor is also likely to hurt the game’s online community, with many FPS gamers moving on to Activision’s latest blockbuster come November 9.
