The official Fortnitemares 2024 trailer is out, and the much-anticipated Fortnite update is set to drop on October 11, 2024. The update is rumored to bring in three new POIs, the return of Halloween-themed weapons like the Wood Stake Shotgun and the Pumpkin Launcher, and some new skins.
The trailer showcased Shadow Monks skin, Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Billy the Puppet from SAW, and a new Lexa skin, cutting Pumpkins at a landmark on the island. However, one more skin was showcased and it’s the first ever look in digital media of that Marvel character.
Fortnitemares 2024 to finally bring Mephisto to Absolute Doom season
Now that Doom has been defeated by Hope, with the help of loopers, another evil lurks in the shadows and will soon take control of the island, and it’s none other than the devil himself: Mephisto. The Marvel villain was long hinted at since the beginning of the season that he would make an appearance in Chapter 5 Season 4.
Some theories even stated that Doom might have killed Mephisto since his runes can be found at the tower in Castle Doom POI on the Fortnite map.
However, the trailer showcased the red devil next to the Halloween characters and it looks horrifying. Fortnite players were thrilled to see the Mephisto skin in action and expressed excitement about the arrival of the iconic Marvel character.
One user wrote under the trailer comments: “Fortnitemares 2024 gonna be put in the books for sure.” Another user said: “You really made Mephisto hot.”
Players also pointed out that Disney villains are also rumored to be released during Fortnitemares featuring Maleficent, Captain Hook, and Cruella De Ville. However, with a shocking revelation regarding the Disney x Fortnite collab that restricts some characters from using guns, players hope they can fire a weapon or two with the upcoming villains.
