Epic Games is gearing up for another Winter celebration in Fortnite, having only just launched Chapter 4 of the popular battle royale shooter.
Winterfest has become a tradition in the free-to-play game, giving proceedings some festive cheer in time for the holidays – along with some cool cosmetics and limited time game modes to boot.

Epic has now detailed what to expect in Winterfest 2022, and it’ll be live as soon as today’s downtime has concluded.
Fortnite Winterfest 2022 release date & start time
Fortnite Winterfest 2022 will kick off from today, Tuesday December 13, 2022 from 9am ET (2pm UK time) and run until January 3, 2023 at 9AM ET (2pm UK time).
Last year, Winterfest started on December 16 and ran until January 6. It saw the arrival of Sgt Winter, who brought along gifts for all the good players who played Fortnite between those dates.
Back in October, Epic Games asked the community to submit their Creative designs for custom maps to be featured in the event’s Discover category.
The event itself will see players getting a whopping 17(!) free items, which will also include two free outfits.
You’ll be able to head to the Winterfest Lodge in game, and unwrap one new present every day for the next two weeks.
The items include two Outfits, two Gliders, two Wraps, three Lobby Tracks, three Sprays, a Black Bling, a Pickaxe, a Contrail, an Emote and an Emoticon.
While Epic are keeping most of the specifics of the gifts under wraps, the two outfits have been confirmed as the Arctic Adeline Outfit and the Sled Ready Guff Outfit.
And don’t worry if you miss any days, you can head to the Winterfest at any point before the event ends to unwrap all the Presents released so far.
