Fortnite is welcoming another set of Street Fighter characters, as Blanka and Sakura join the battle royale this week.
To celebrate 35 years of the beat-em-up series, the Item Shop will play host to both characters this Thursday. Players will be able to pick up a Blanka Outfit that comes with a Blanka Delgado alt-style where our green-skinned favourite dons a natty suit. The package will also include a Blanka Backflip Emote and a Blanka-Chan Back Bling. There’s also a Tropical Hazard Kebab Pickaxe thrown into the mix.
Sakura meanwhile has an outfit of her own, that also comes with a Sakura Gym alt-style and a Victory Sway Emote. The package also includes the Hanakaze Claw Back Bling and the Fighting Tournament Trophy Pickaxe. The ensemble is rounded off by the Kayari Buta Glider.
Along with the two characters themselves, Epic is also marking the occasion with a special Blanka & Sakura Cup. The first of these will be a mobile-only version on April 27, using the game’s recently introduced Zero Build rules. Then, on April 28 there’ll be a Battle Royale Solo Cup open to all platforms. The top performing players in each will unlock a special loading screen, you can check out more on the Street Fighter favourites arrival in Fortnite over on the game’s website.
