Fortnite V-Bucks are premium in-game currency used to purchase cosmetic items. This is the most valuable currency in the game, and the primary way to obtain it is with real money. Unfortunately, V-Bucks will become more expensive starting next month, and some players will pay nearly 3 times more money for them.
Epic Games announced this change on Wednesday, but it won’t kick in until October 27, 2023. In the meantime, V-Bucks prices will remain the same, giving players a few more weeks to obtain them at lower prices.
The upcoming change will affect many countries, including the United States.
The price of Fortnite V-Bucks will increase in October
Earlier this year, Epic Games changed the prices of V-Bucks in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Mexico. Interestingly, the premium currency became more expensive in the first two countries, while players from Mexico got lower V-Bucks prices.
The next change will come in late October and will affect many countries. From the countries in the Eurozone to the United States, almost everyone will have to pay more for V-Bucks. Fortunately, V-Bucks will still be cheaper than they were 3 years ago. However, some players will have to pay a lot more for them.
Here are the new prices that will come next month:

It’s important to note that a few other countries will be affected by the new Fortnite V-Bucks prices. All storefronts that use United States Dollars will have these new prices, so effectively, players from these regions will pay $1 more for 1,000 V-Bucks.
Interestingly, the price of Fortnite Crew will not be affected by this change. However, Epic Games will adjust the prices of several packs once they return to the Item Shop, including the upcoming Transformers Pack.
Considering that inflation has drastically changed the global economy, it’s no surprise that Epic decided to make this move. After all, almost everything has become more expensive, from services to office spaces. On top of that, the company has to deal with the FTC settlement.
