Fortnite update v10.20 adds the Zapper Trap, Floating Island, and the Motel

The Fortnite v10.20 content update has added a new item and brings back the Floating Island in a new Rift Zone.

As part of Season 10, Rift Zones are time-twisty areas of the map that change the look and the lie of the land. In this update, the Floating Island of Season 6 is back and with it Kevin the Cube that kept it aloft. The Vortex will throw players up into the air onto the Island, upon which they will find the Motel of Season 7. And, we could expect this Rift Zone to travel around the map in the same manner as it did last year. 

Creative mode has received two new Prefabs, the Prison and Flush Factory, plus three new Galleries. The Save the World mode has a new quest: Crackshot Hits the Road Part II. This week, Crackshot wants to broadcast his Song of the Summer from the Radio Station, but he’ll need your help to get there. What will come in handy is the new Hot Mix Pistol, which is available in the weekly store from September 4 until September 11. 

Finally, the Zapper Trap is an electrifying new item. It’s a thrown trap that deploys a shock on either side of a building piece. If thrown on the ground, it automatically builds a wall and sets up the trap, dealing 50 damage to unfortunate souls caught in the crossfire.
