Epic Games released another major Fortnite update on Tuesday morning. This is the last update of Chapter 6 – Season 3, as the game developer is gearing up for the release of another season. The update brought many new cosmetics, but also updated older ones. This includes an ultra-rare skin, which is set to return very soon.
Fortnite has brought back many rare skins over the past few months, including Yellowjacket, which had been vaulted for almost five years. Now, it’s time to bring more rare cosmetics back.
Major Lazer, a rare Fortnite skin, will return to Fortnite soon
In late Chapter 1, Epic Games had many fantastic collaborations. At the point, players were able to play in Gotham City as Batman and visit Stranger Things-themed places. On top of this, the game developer released several pop culture icons, including Major Lazer. Interestingly, this skin has been vaulted for more than four years. However, it should return very soon.
With the July 29 update, Epic updated the Major Lazer skin, hinting at its return. The skin was released during Season X and was available for only 14 days in the item shop. Its last appearance was on June 14, 2021.
The skin costs 1,600 V-Bucks and is also available in a bundle that costs 2,400. The bundle includes an emote, a pickaxe, back bling, and two music packs. All of these items were last seen in June 2021, and there is no doubt they will be among the best sellers once they return to the shop.
As of July 2025, Major Lazer is the 12th-rarest shop skin in Fortnite. It’s also the third-rarest Icon Series skin, only trailing Travis Scott’s skins, which were last available in April 2020.
