The strongest Fortnite weapon is currently available in Chapter 4 – Season 4. Epic Games released the weapon earlier this week, yet many players haven’t figured out how to take advantage of it. When used properly, the weapon becomes unstoppable in the right hands.

Considering that the weapon has been in the game for only a few days, it’s no surprise that many players haven’t used it properly yet. However, the powerful Fortnite weapon will likely become very popular soon, and we expect almost every player to carry it in their inventory.

Here’s all you need to know about the new weapon that can wreak havoc.

The strongest Fortnite weapon was added earlier this week

Epic Games released the v26.20 content update on Tuesday, adding the Tactical DMR to the video game. In addition to the weapon, two new Reality Augments were released, but neither of them affects the effectiveness of the marksman rifle.

Fortunately, a few other perks can be used to improve the new weapon. In combination with a couple of Reality Augments, the Tactical DMR becomes the strongest Fortnite weapon and can be used to take down even the toughest enemies.

Here are the augments that make the marksman rifle much better:

  • Steady Hands – Marksman Rifles have reduced recoil
  • Scoped Salvo – Scoped weapons deal increased damage but have a decreased fire rate
  • Marksman Headshots – Marksman Rifle headshots deal increased damage
  • Bloodhound – Enemies hit by your marksman rifle or bow shots are marked for a brief duration

On top of all these Reality Augments, the Tactical DMR has a variable zoom, which makes it more versatile.

Considering that the Legendary (Gold) variant of the weapon deals 50 damage for a body shot and 83 damage for a headshot, the weapon is strong even without Reality Augments. However, these perks make it much better and it’s arguably the strongest Fortnite weapon currently in the season.
