Epic Games just released another content update for Fortnite Battle Royale. Unfortunately, the game developer hasn’t provided any details about it, but we have you covered. Our Fortnite patch notes will reveal all the new things that arrived with the update.
It’s important to note that this is not a major update. Instead, this is a smaller update that requires no download. Epic added all the necessary files to the game data with the v26.20 update last Tuesday, which is why it’s not necessary to update the game client.
Here’s everything you need to know about the latest update.
Fortnite patch notes for the v26.20 content update
The October 3 Fortnite update brought a new weapon and two more Reality Augments. The weapon is the Tactical DMR and it was teased in the trailer for the new season. It comes in multiple rarities and has a variable zoom, which makes it unique.
Here are the Tactical DMR stats:
- Damage: 41
- Headshot damage: 68
- Magazine size: 14
- Fire rate: 2.9
- Reload time: 2.75 seconds
It’s important to note that these are the stats for the Common (Gray) variant of the new Fortnite weapon. The Legendary (Gold) variant deals 50 damage and has a reload time of only 2.25 seconds. All variants have a variable scope and a 14-bullet magazine.
Besides the new weapon, Epic Games also released two new Reality Augments:
- Ninja Training – Increased movement speed while crouching
- Shrub Mud – You become covered in Mud when in Big Bushes, Leaf Piles, and Tall Grass
The next major Fortnite update will likely be released on Tuesday, October 10. According to reputable leakers, this will be the last big update of Chapter 4 – Season 4, which is why we expect it to bring the Fortnitemares 2023 event, Kinetic Blade, new skins, and a lot of other new content.
