Latest Fortnite nerf is exclusive to competitive modes

The first Rocket Ram nerf affected all game modes as its spawn rate was reduced across the board. However, the latest Fortnite nerf only affects the item in competitive modes. This comes as no surprise considering how strong the item is against buildings.

While the popular item has returned to competitive modes, it’s been drastically nerfed. Instead of unlimited uses, which is the same in regular modes, competitive players now only have 3 charges of the item. In addition to this, the Rocket Ram no longer deals direct damage.

While this is a drastic nerf, there’s no doubt that it’s the right one. The weapon is very powerful against structures, and giving it unlimited charges wouldn’t be a great idea. Considering that its structural damage has stayed the same, the item can still be used to wreak a havoc in late-game circles.
