The release of Fortnite Chapter 6 – Season 2 is around the corner. Players are looking forward to all the new content that will arrive with it, including gameplay changes and the new Battle Pass. However, besides new cosmetics and features, Epic Games will also release several major map changes with the new Fortnite season.

The new map hasn’t been leaked yet. However, Epic has teased a couple of changes with the release of the Avatar collaboration on Friday night.

Once again, we expect massive map changes, including at least three new named locations. This has been the case for the past seven and a half years, and the next seasonal update will likely follow suit. On Friday night, Epic released the Fortnite x Avatar collaboration, teasing a couple of map changes that may arrive with the next season.

The game developer posted a collaboration trailer on X (formerly Twitter), revealing all the new cosmetic items. However, the video also showed some new parts of the map. It appears that the snow will melt on the mountain at Warrior’s Watch. This is not a surprise considering that this is the place of a live event. Furthermore, the video shows what looks like a new location just behind the mountain.

It’s important to note that these map changes haven’t been confirmed yet. To find out all the changes, we will have to either wait for Epic to reveal them officially or for the new season to come out. However, it’s safe to say that at least 25% of the island will change with the release of Fortnite Chapter 6 – Season 2.

So far, Epic has revealed the next Fortnite Battle Pass, and since we are less than a week away from a new season, we will probably get more reveals soon.
