Epic Games has stopped releasing Fortnite patch notes since the release of Chapter 2. Despite this, it’s quite easy to find out everything that’s changed with the latest update. Thanks to leakers and data miners, we can list all the big changes that have come with it.

The latest update is v26.10 and it arrived on Tuesday, September 12. Considering this is the first major update of Chapter 4 – Season 4, it’s no surprise that it brought a lot of new content. Unfortunately, Epic hasn’t released official Fortnite patch notes, but we’ve got you covered.

Here’s everything that came with the new patch.

Fortnite patch notes: Gameplay changes

The biggest gameplay change that arrived with the new update is the addition of a new Mythic item. Epic Games released the second part of the Fortnite x My Hero Academia collaboration, adding Todoroki’s Ice Wall to the game. Aside from that, Deku’s Smash has also been unvaulted.

Epic also unvaulted the Pizza Party item, buffing it to heal 5 HP and 30 Shield. Furthermore, the item can now be used to reach the maximum health and shield, which makes it much more useful.

To make a place for Pizza Party, the development team vaulted Slap Juice. The fan-favorite item was perfect for healing and mobility, but it’s no longer available in the game. It appears that the development team also intended to vault Slap Splash, but the item is still in the game.

Interestingly, Epic nerfed the spawn rate of fishing holes, which is quite surprising. In addition, the vault security has been improved with the latest update. Vault gates can now eliminate players if they close on them directly.

Epic posted brief Fortnite patch notes on its website, and you can read them by visiting this link.

New cosmetic items and Super Styles

New My Hero Academia characters have entered Fortnite with the v26.10 update. Players can now purchase Shoto Todoroki, Mina Ashido, and Eijiro Kirishima from the Item Shop, and all of them have matching accessories.

In addition, Epic Games released Super Styles for Battle Pass skins on Tuesday. These new styles require players to level up beyond level 200, which is quite easy. Season 4 is scheduled to end in early November, which gives players more than enough time to unlock new styles.

Kado Thorne has also received the style that was seen in the Season 4 trailer.

Bug fixes and improvements

These Fortnite patch notes will also list the most important bug fixes that arrived on Tuesday. Many players will be glad to hear that Epic Games has finally fixed the issue with the Nue glider. The glider was a free reward from the Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration, and it was finally granted to all eligible players.

Here are all the other bugs that have been fixed with the v26.10 Fortnite update:

  • Players can now auto-run while alt-tabbing

  • Progression quest for spending bars now works properly
