With the next Fortnite update, Epic Games is set to introduce a brand-new game mode. The game developer revealed this on Monday night, hyping the community up for it. This will be a mini version of the Battle Royale mode, and so far, it sounds very exciting! It will be added to the game with the v36.10 update on Wednesday, June 18.
In this article, we will reveal everything currently known about the upcoming Fortnite mode. If you are a veteran player who played in Chapter 1, you might already have an idea of what the mode will look like.
The upcoming Fortnite mode will be very fast
Epic Games announced that the next Fortnite update will bring Blitz Royale. This is a fast-paced mode that supports up to 32 players per lobby. Furthermore, the game developer described its design as “rogue-like” and optimized it for mobile devices. Blitz Royale will come out on Wednesday and will be available on all platforms. It will also support cross-play.
Back in Chapter 1, Epic released Blitz, a limited-time game mode that made the game much faster. In this mode, the storm was moving rapidly, forcing players to loot quickly and move to the next safe zone. Due to this, most of the games lasted just 12 to 15 minutes and were action-packed.
The upcoming mode is somewhat similar to Blitz, but the main difference is that Blitz Royale will have much smaller lobby sizes. In addition to this, it appears that the mode will have its own map and that it will be permanent.
Epic Games hasn’t revealed many other details about the mode so far. However, considering that its release is less than 24 hours away, we will be able to try it out very soon.
