Epic Games’ Fortnite could be getting a Battle Pass that gives the player every single season in one tidy bundle, instead of purchasing every season in the year individually (via Nintendo Life).
Tune in Dec 12 at 8:30 PM ET to see if Fortnite takes home an award at #TheGameAwards
We’ll be making a special announcement during the show so don’t miss it

This discovery comes from FortniteNews, that has datamined the v11.30 update to find notes of a “2020 Annual Pass.” This would unlock, “all upcoming 2020 Fortnite Battle Royale: Battle Bundles” along with seven exclusive items to the “Annual Pass”. The new bundle would also offer up a portion of each of the Battle Pass content upon release. Epic Games is slated to make a big announcement during The Game Awards, so this little dig could have spoiled the surprise.
We don’t know for certain though. The developer could have something totally unique waiting in the wings, but we’ll have to sit tight and see. The Game Awards kicks off at 8.30pm EST or 1.30am GMT (cheers, Geoff). Fortnite is nominated for the Best Esports Game, Best Ongoing Game, and Best Community Support awards. It’s got stiff competition in the likes of Apex Legends, Destiny 2, and Overwatch, but it is all to play for tonight.
Fortnite is out now for iOS, Android, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
