The maximum level in Fortnite is one of the many things that changed with the new season. To the delight of many players, Epic Games finally brought Chapter 1 back. However, Season 5 will end up being the shortest season of all time, which is why the game developer needed to make a few adjustments.

The new Fortnite Battle Pass is smaller and has fewer rewards than previous passes. However, this makes sense considering how short the new season is going to be. Due to this, Epic also decreased the maximum level in Fortnite, allowing players to avoid the grind.

Here’s everything you need to know about the leveling system in the OG Fortnite.

How much XP does it take to reach the maximum Fortnite level in Season 5?

Each level in Fortnite Season 5 requires 80,000 XP, which hasn’t changed. However, the maximum rewards level in Fortnite is currently 70. This means that you need to earn 5.52 million XP to reach the last level. In comparison, most of the previous Fortnite seasons required approximately 8 million XP.

Once again, quests are the primary source of XP. While the new season will be short, it will include several weekly quests that can be easily completed. Interestingly, Epic Games has brought Milestones back to the OG Fortnite season.

The new Fortnite season will go through constant changes, which will make reaching the maximum level much more fun. Epic will keep changing the island, making it go through different stages of Chapter 1. Additionally, the loot pool will keep changing and bringing many old items back.

Considering that the OG Fortnite season will last for a month, you will have to level up approximately 2.3 times every day to reach the maximum level. With a lot of new content coming to the game and new quests, this should be an easy task for both casual and competitive players.
