Fortnite will get a massive content update later this year

Epic Games will release a lot of new content by the end of the year. According to leakers, there’s a good chance that Fortnite Chapter 5 will come out in a few months as well. While this hasn’t been confirmed, Epic has revealed many new additions that will come to UEFN (Unreal Editor for Fortnite) very soon.

The video game developer revealed the new features on its Trello board, showing the plan for the third and fourth quarters of 2023.

Here are some of the most significant updates UEFN will receive soon:

  • Big improvements for the Discover tab, including text search and personalization
  • Custom lobby backgrounds for UEFN maps
  • Customizable map and minimap
  • Improved Creator pages
  • Fixed perspective cameras
  • Custom user interface
  • Custom HUD layout
  • Verse improvements
  • Localization support

Most of these features are planned to be released in the last three months of 2023. Once they come out, Fortnite’s Creative maps done with UEFN will look even more amazing, and it’s likely just a matter of time before they replace the battle royale mode.

In the meantime, Epic Games will keep working on adding new content to Chapter 4 – Season 4. The development team has planned big things for the season, including the Fortnitemares 2023 event.
