Fortnite returns to the fan-favorite Chapter 2 era while adding a quirky hip-hop flair. Beginning with a new version of The Agency, Raft, and Yacht boss locations, the GHOST and SHADOW organizations were taken over by new bosses such as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Ice Spice.
The game has also included several new gameplay features, such as Vehicle Hydraulics and Weapons, while maintaining its OG status. Along with the new additions, Epic has made a ground-breaking adjustment after three years, which some may argue is for the better.
Fortnite brings back hitscan weapons to Chapter 2 Remix
Fortnite has made a drastic change to the Battle Royale and Zero Build gameplay by changing the weapon mechanics from Projectile, back to Hitscan like the OG days. To those unaware, Hitscan weapons are those with no bullet drop or travel time and immediately hit the target as soon as you press the fire button.
Throughout Chapter 4 and Chapter 5, Epic changed all weaponry to projectile where players had to account for bullet drop, even while firing an Assault Rifle. Now that all the original Chapter 2 loot pool is back, every weapon is hitscan, except for Sniper Rifles that still remain projectile.
Furthermore, another Fortnite feature that has returned is Upgrade Benches, where you’ll be able to find one while playing Builds mode only. The reason behind this is that these benches require materials for you to upgrade an equipped weapon to a higher tier.
With the return of both these features, the concurrent users of Battle Royale and Zero Build modes combined have surpassed over four million players each day, twice what was seen in the previous Marvel season.
Now that you know these weapons are back, grab one on the island and complete those weekly challenges to level up the Remix Battle Pass before the Fortnite season comes to an end.
