Fortnite recently received update 37.0. This introduced a bunch of new skins, but it also removed two game modes. Now players have discovered that Epic Games have disabled several emotes in Fortnite Party Royale, likely because of “weirdos” in the community.

Fortnite disables several emotes

Fortnite X account, SentinelCentral, has shared that as of the v37.0 update, Epic Games have disabled the Bring it Round and Ride the Pony emotes when someone nearby is performing the Poki or Party Hips emotes.

SentinelCentral adds “there are likely more emotes that they disabled from performing these,” and commented that they “feel bad for Epic even adding this ‘fix’, due to how some people in the community are just … weirdos”.

While there’s no official explanation for this fix, the logic really doesn’t require a lot of deduction. Bring it Round or Ride the Pony combined with another player nearby performing Poki or Party Hips can look inappropriate from specific angles, so Epic Games have likely implemented this fix to avoid controversy as seen with Roblox where players have been found simulating inappropriate acts through emotes.

In the replies, there are comments praising Epic Games for the fix, saying, “W fortnite enough of that weird funny business,” and, “That they even had to consider doing this is a sorry state of affairs. But I’m glad that they are being proactive at shutting down the weirdos”.
