Epic Games and Xbox have announced that battle royale shooter Fortnite is now available via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

The move means that the free-to-play game is now supported on all browser enabled devices. In fact, you don’t even need an Xbox Game Pass subscription to access the game according to the Xbox Wire article. Just a Microsoft account is all you need, and you can play on Android phones and tablets, iOS devices & more.

It’s a fairly significant move, as it allows the game to bypass both the Google Play and iOS Stores. The game has been largely unavailable directly on the latter since Epic and Apple got into a messy legal battle over the last couple of years over Epic wanting to get around both their and Google store’s policy of a 30% cut. The case saw Apple terminate Epic’s developer account and removed the shooter from the store. Google Play followed suit, although players can still update the game directly through the Epic Games Store with a workaround.

Fortnite comes to Xbox Cloud Gaming just as the game welcomes its newest guest character. The Scarlet Witch makes her way to the island just as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits cinemas. She’s available now in the item shop, complete with her own Back Bling, Pickaxe, Emote and Loading Screen. Check those out over here.
