If you’re looking to add a free skin to your Fortnite account, you are in luck! Epic Games currently offers five skins for free, and most of them can be obtained in just a few minutes. One skin, First Order Stormtrooper, was scheduled to expire on August 31. However, the game developer extended it, giving more players an opportunity to get it.
Thanks to the extension, the Stormtrooper is still one of the free skins in Fortnite. Epic will likely release it to the Item Shop in the future, but this probably won’t happen before 2026.
The free Stormtrooper skin in Fortnite is still available
Epic Games released the First Order Stormtrooper skin in late April, shortly before the launch of the Fortnite x Star Wars season. The skin was given for free to everyone who linked their Epic Games and MyDisney accounts, which is a simple process.
Initially, the skin was supposed to be available for four months, ending on August 31. However, Epic extended it until October 31, giving players two more months to add it to their lockers. The redemption process is still the same, as it only requires a connection between two accounts.
Unfortunately, the free skin is not available to everyone at the moment. While the skin itself has no regional restrictions, creating a MyDisney account is not possible everywhere. Due to this, players from some countries are unable to get the First Order Stormtrooper skin for the time being. They will be able to get the skin once it comes to the shop but it won’t be free.
While the First Order Stormtrooper skin is a fantastic option, keep an eye out for future promotions to continuously expand your Fortnite locker without spending a single V-Buck.
