Over the past few days, the Halloween event in Fortnite has brought many amazing cosmetics. The event began with the release of Doja Cat and her two skins, while Ghostface and Scooby-Doo arrived shortly after. Despite all of these great items, Epic Games isn’t done yet, as we have lots of other iconic characters coming to the game.
Interestingly, some of the upcoming Fortnitemares skins will be obtainable for free. More specifically, players will be able to compete for Jason Voorhees and Wednesday Addams very soon. The first such opportunity will arrive on Thursday, October 16.
How to unlock Jason Voorhees and Wednesday Addams for free in Fortnite?
Both Jason Voorhees and Wednesday Addams will come to the Fortnite Item Shop by the end of the month. Their prices are currently unknown, although they’ll likely cost 1500 V-Bucks. However, before their release, players can get them early, and they can do it for free.
Jason and Wednesday will both be available through Haunted cups. These will be played in the Fortnite Reload mode and the Duos playlist. Once again, top players from every region will get a skin, while everyone who earns eight or more points will receive an accessory.
This is how high players need to rank to unlock the skins for free:

Considering that both cups will be played in the Duos playlist, this means that 4800 players will receive new skins for free. Jason’s cup will be played on Thursday, while players will have an opportunity to unlock Wednesday Addams on October 23.
The free Halloween skin, which has unlimited quantities, is available until November 1.
