Fortnite Kicks arrived in late 2024 and have become quite popular since then. Although controversial at first, Kicks have become a must-have over the past few months. On Friday, Epic Games granted some players a free pair of Kicks. These shoes haven’t been released to the shop yet, but they may already be in your Fortnite locker!
In this article, we will reveal why Epic granted new Kicks to some players. You might be eligible for them as well, so let’s check the criteria!
Epic Games is sending more free Kicks to Fortnite players
Back in Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix, Kicks came out as standalone items. Most of them were available in the Item Shop, although Epic released a pair of them in the Battle Pass. At first, only a small percentage of skins were compatible with Kicks. However, this has changed over the past few months, as now most of the skins can equip different shoes.
Now, it appears that the Fortnite developer will grant many free Kicks to players. Earlier this year, Epic granted a free pair of shoes to players who owned Eminem’s Rap Boy Reloaded skin. They did it because the skin already had Kicks on it, allowing players to use them on other outfits. Now, the game creator is doing the same for the Flightalis skin.
If you purchased the Flightalis skin before June 20, you are eligible for a pair of free Kicks. More specifically, you will receive Air Jordan 1 Retro High ’85 shoes. To claim them, you simply need to get into Fortnite and open your locker.
It’s important to note that these are not the same shoes that came out with the Chapter 2 Remix Battle Pass. They look slightly different and haven’t been released to the item shop yet.
