There’s plenty of things in Fortnite that would be great to have in real life – a portable glider would make work commutes much more exciting – but one fan of the game has gone one step further and actually made one of the battle royal shooter’s most beloved items a reality.

Posting on the Fortnite subreddit, FirefighterCommon404 showcased their meticulously crafted recreation of the Port-A-Fort item from the game to the community. The hand-held 3D printed object perfectly matches the version of the item seen in the game’s inventory screen, complete with glowing effect within. While it – of course – doesn’t expand into a full fort when thrown, it makes for a unique and cool desk ornament for any discerning Fortnite fan.

“Throw it outside and see what happens” jokingly invites the most upvoted response from Euphoric_Pressure_39, to which the op responded with “1000 upvotes and I’ll throw it off my roof” – at the time of writing, the post now sits at 1777 upvotes, so Firefighter may have to keep their word, hopefully it’s sturdy enough to withstand the endeavour, though it does look sturdy enough. “We’re gonna solve the housing problem with this one,” jokes PS2EmotionEngineer.

Plenty of other Fortnite fans are simply praising the build, of course, with some even wanting one of their own. “Where can I buy this?” asks phys1co. “Man, that’s so cool dude” praises Morerice21. And it doesn’t look like the OP is necessarily going to stop there, as judged by their response to calls for more items – RainbowPanda50 exclaimed “That’s awesome. You also have so many other cool options for stuff you could make like Shockwaves or impulses, grenades, maybe a grappler, etc!” to which Firefighter responded “Yeah, give me suggestions and I’ll try to make them!” – we’ll certainly be watching this space for more cool builds like this in the future.
